As part of the University of Tokyo Hospital’s hospital art initiative, artworks were installed on the first and second floors of the outpatient clinic building. Centered around dyeing techniques that utilize local plants (medicinal herbs) from the hospital’s surroundings, the works were created by combining various materials and methods. By introducing "nature" into the hospital environment through art, the installations offer a sense of comfort and tranquility to patients and their families during waiting times. During the implementation process, a working group of 54 members was formed, consisting of 11 different professional roles along with students, fostering improved communication and motivation across disciplines.
